For every American of color over aged 70, there are approximately five white contemporaries—a ratio of 5:1. For Americans under age 40, the ratio is 2:1 and for children under age 10 it drops to 1.5:1. Within the lifetime of today’s teens, there will be no racial or ethnic majority in the U.S.
